I come from a family of animal lovers from farmers to breeders to pet owners. Growing up, we had sporting dogs: Labs, Golden Retrievers and one Irish Setter. Several years ago, I saw a Christmas card with two Berners on it, and I was in love. I went from pet owner to performance dog handler and then came Lolita, and I joined the conformation world and breeding. We are involved in drafting, obedience, rally, agility, therapy dog work and both dogs are Farm Dog Certified. I love training my dogs…teaching is in my nature; I am also a 5th grade teacher. I am the editor for the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Northeastern Illinois’s (BMDCNI) newsletter, Matterhorn and am the current President. Previously, I was Vice President. I am a member of our parent club, BMDCA as well as a member of several training clubs. This year will be my third year as Fun Match Secretary for Fox Valley Dog Training Club and am a member of Lyons Township dog Training Club and Glenbard All Breed Dog Training Club.

Lolita

Lolita is an AKC Champion and has titles in Obedience (CD), Rally (RN), Farm Dog Certified (FDC), Agility Course Test 1 (ACT1), Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA), Trick Dog Novice and Trick Dog Intermediate (TKI). In 2019 we were the #12 AKC Owner Handler Team in Bernese Mountain Dogs.
